Grandstand Enclosure

Our Grandstand Enclosure is located directly opposite the final furlong and winning post. This package includes racecourse admission, access to all public ground floor areas including the parade ring viewing area and trackside, access to a variety of food outlets including Weight Inn Bar / Lounge and Paddock Grill.

Premier Enclosure

Our Premier Enclosure is located on the first floor of the grandstand with steppings out onto the trackside. Exclusive access to a dedicated bar and lounge facilities. This package includes racecourse admission, access to all public ground and first floor areas around the racecourse including the parade ring viewing area and trackside.

Horizons Restaurant

Our Horizons Restaurant is set over three tiers and is one of the most stylish restaurants in racing. Set high in the main grandstand, and located opposite the winning post, the glass fronted, panoramic restaurant offers stunning, uninterrupted views of the racecourse. This package includes racecourse admission, racecard, access to all public or areas including the parade ring viewing area and trackside, three course choice meal including tea/coffee, table service for food, drinks and betting facilities and reserved table for duration of fixture.

Ringside Restaurant

Our Ringside Restaurant is situated next to the parade ring and is just a short walk from the track. This package includes racecourse admission, racecard, access to all public ground floor areas including the parade ring viewing area and trackside, three course choice meal, table service for food, drinks and betting facilities, reserved table for duration of fixture and after racing entertainment (Saturday night only).

How to find us

Directions

By Train

There are frequent services to and from major towns and cities at Wolverhampton Railway Station, situated less than 2 miles from the racecourse. There are also regular direct trains and Metro service to/from Birmingham City Centre (approximately 20 mins away).

By Road

Conveniently located in The City of Wolverhampton, off the A449 (Stafford Road) dual carriageway. Follow the brown tourist signs to Wolverhampton Racecourse (identified by the horse and jockey image). From north: Exit Junction 11 of the M6 and join the A460 towards Wolverhampton. Join the M54 at J1 Westbound. Exit at J2 and follow the A449 towards Wolverhampton. From south: Exit junction 10a of the M6 joining M54 to junction 2. Follow A449 towards Wolverhampton.

Buses regularly operate in and out of the Wolverhampton Bus station down in close proximity to the racecourse with a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop down to the course.

Airport

Birmingham International Airport (BHX) is approximately 25 miles from Wolverhampton. Wolverhampton Business Airport at Halfpenny Green near Bobbington offers some local services. The racecourse has an onsite Helipad if you wish to arrive by helicopter. Please contact us for further information.

What to wear

Restaurant, Hospitality & Premier Enclosure

Smart jeans (no rips, tears or fraying) are acceptable as are smart tailored shorts, but t-shirts, sports attire, cargo style shorts and trainers are not permitted and we do ask that men wear a collared shirt. Smart sandals for ladies are permitted however beach style flip flops are not.

Grandstand Enclosure

Casual (tasteful fancy dress is permitted).

The History

Wolverhampton Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue locating in the heart of the City of Wolverhampton, West Midlands. The racecourse hosts 80 fixtures all year-round, including feature racedays Ladies Day, Family Fun Day and Music Live, making it one of Britain’s busiest racecourses.

The racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue and was the first floodlit racecourse in Britain. A major investment in 2014 saw the installation of the high-performance Tapeta track, a surface not used by any other racecourse prior to Wolverhampton.
