Where to be for the best views

Premier Enclosure

The Premier Enclosure has unrivalled access to facilities with superior views - there is no better place to watch the racing action. This enclosure offers superb bars and dining options. Sherwood's Restaurant is located on the second floor of the Grandstand with panoramic views across the Racecourse. Choose from the superb a la carte dining options (advance booking is advisable). Also enjoy the private lawn on feature racedays with exclusive access to premier racegoers. With bars and food outlets, soak up the sun with views over the parade ring.

Grandstand Enclosure

Racegoers have access to the main Grandstand, Parade Ring, Winners Enclosure and the Betting Ring which buzzes with anticipation before each race. Furlongs Cafe Bar is situated between the Grandstand and Centenary Stand, with access to both Premier and Grandstand racegoers Furlongs Cafe Bar offers freshly made baguettes and a wide variety of refreshments. GG's Fish and Chips is an ever popular eatery serving traditional style fish, chips and everything else you'd expect to find at your local fish and chip shop! Champions Bar is situated centrally on the ground floor of the Grandstand offering a full bar service along with hot food on feature racedays and tea & coffee. Both enclosures have disabled facilities, tote facilities and race programme sales. On feature days further food and drink outlets are available to both Premier and Grandstand racegoers.

Dress Codes

What to wear

There are no strict rules regarding dress wear in the Grandstand Enclosure however a reasonable level is expected. The Premier enclosure does have a smart casual dress code which stipulates no shorts, t-shirts, trainers or fancy dress. This dress code also applies for the Rooftop Restaurant and Hospitality Boxes. In Hot weather tailored shorts are permitted in the Premier Enclosure. Collared shirts and smart jeans will be permitted. Do note the racecourse does not insist on jackets and ties.

How to find us



Nottingham midland station is only two miles from the course. A taxi rank is at the station and will take you approximately 10-15 minutes to get to the site.


Nearest bus route from the city is number 44 which departs from kings street in the city centre. Or the link 2 (yellow park and ride) which stop son Parliament Street and Collins Street. The park and ride is situated next door to the course on Colwick Park.

By Car

From the North follow the A60 or A612. From the South follow the A60 and A453. From the East or West follow the A52. Once at Nottingham follow the brown signs or the yellow park and ride signs to the racecourse.


There is ample on-site parking which is free.
