Overview


On the weekend of the 26th & 27th September Merano hosts the South Tyrolean Grand Prix. This consists of the Crystal Cup Cross Country on Saturday and the Gran Premio steeplechase on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Crystal Cup race is the only to be held in Italy and is one of the "great classics" of Merano, with 6,000 meters and 34 obstacles making it the longest and most "romantic" race of the season.

How to find us

Directions

The Merano racetrack is located in Via Palade, in the district of Maia Bassa, and can be easily reached by various means.

For those arriving by car, from the exits of the freeway MeBo ("Maia Bassa" coming from Bolzano, "Marlengo" coming from Lagundo / Val Venosta), the hippodrome is 2 minutes away.

The Maia Bassa train station is at the beginning of Via Palade, a couple of hundred meters from the entrance to the plant.

Along the entire Via Palade runs a cycle path, integrated with the urban and super-urban network of tracks dedicated to cyclists.

Parking

During the days of racing, a free parking area is available at the racecourse.
