Upgrade your raceday with hospitality in the Bridles Restaurant, where you can soak up the festive atmosphere of raceday and enjoy panoramic views of the racecourse.
A bus will operate from Llanelli train station to the racecourse. £1 per journey on a first come first served basis. The bus will leave Llanelli at 11:25am and return from the racecourse at 4:10pm.
Where to be for the best views
Ffos Las operates a one enclosure policy, and apart from obtaining grandstand seating with great views of the home straight, finishing line, paddock and winners enclosure, all ticket holders have access to all Public areas of the course.
For those seeking total relaxation during their visit to Ffos Las races, by booking well in advance, race-goers can secure full meeting facilities, including a three course meal, in the 150 seater Bridles Restaurant. Located on the first floor of the grandstand, the restaurant offers superb views of the racing action, including a 3 metre wide external balcony which overlooks the finishing line, paddock and unsaddling area. In addition, Bridles Restaurant offers all day diners the perfect combination of good food and quality drinks while taking in the very best of the racing action.
How to find us
Closest train stations are: Kidwelly (4.5 miles), Pembrey and Burry Port (4.5 miles), Llanelli (6 miles).
First Cymru operate a Monday to Saturday bus service from Llanelli to Carmarthen (No 197) It has stops in Trimsaran, Carway, Ponthenri and Meinciau.
From the East Leave M4 at junction 48, joining the A4138 to Llanelli. Continue straight for 4 miles At the 4th roundabout follow the signs for A484 Llanelli Town centre At roundabout take 3rd exit A484 Turn left onto Gelli-onn still A484 After approximately 400 yards turn right onto B4309 At roundabout take first exit continuing on B4309 Continue for approximately 3 miles Go through Trimsaran At mini roundabout take second exit Racecourse is approximately ½ mile on the right
From the West Follow the A40 to Carmarthen, then the A484 to Llanelli and follow the brown signs.
What to wear
It is asked that racegoers wear smart, casual clothing. Dress code policy for Hospitality areas is smart casual with NO ripped jeans, trainers or football/rugby shirts allowed.
Ffos Las -Welsh for blue ditch- is set over 600 acres with fantastic scenic view over the Garden of Wales.
From being the largest open cast mine in Europe the transformation has been incredible. The venue now boasts, conservation areas, solar farms and beautiful lakes.
The racecourse was the first to open in the UK for 80 years, fitted with state of the art drainage systems and irrigation it has been created to provide an incredible racing surface.
One of the main focal points at Ffos Las is an incredible sculpture. Situated in front of the winners enclosure, the “Spirit of the Race” sculpture provides a great meeting point and a stunning photo to remember your trip by.
