Longines Irish Champions Weekend is undoubtedly the shining triumph of Irish flat racing, combining sporting and social enjoyment like no other.

The 2018 event takes place over the weekend of the 15th & 16th of September across two racecourses.

On Saturday 15th September the QIPCO Irish Champions Stakes Day is held at Leopardstown Racecourse and on Sunday 16th September the Comer Group International Irish St Leger Day is held at the Curragh.

Offering some of the best racing in the world, elegant fashion, off track entertainment and gourmet food & beverages, this unique atmosphere is electric and unforgettable, certainly a bucket list worthy event.

Where to be for the best views

General Enclosure

General Enclosure tickets give access to the entire racecourse enclosure including the lower level of the Grandstand. We have special Student, OAP and Online ticket prices available for each race day. Children under 18 years of age are admitted free of charge on all race days, when accompanied by a paying adult.

Premium Level Access

Located on the third floor of the grandstand, top level seats offer a reserved stadium seat for the day, access to the Top Level of the Grandstand and the Circle Lounge area on the 3rd floor.

Leopardstown celebrates this by hosting numerous ladies days and style awards, offering opportunities for the most fashionable individuals to display their style in the spotlight.You will also see plenty of horse racing fans in practical, smart-casual clothing. While there is no strict dress code at Leopardstown Racecourse, smart-casual attire is recommended.

Directions

Public Transport

Leopardstown is ideally located on the outskirts of Ireland’s capital city, Dublin, and therefore benefits from ample public transport options.

BY LUAS

The LUAS offers a regular service from St. Stephen’s Green to Sandyford that takes about 20 minutes. The racecourse is only a short walk from the Sandyford station and Leopardstown also provide a complimentary shuttle bus service on race days. The bus service runs 30 minutes prior to gate opening times until 30 minutes after the bars on site close. This service runs from car park A on the Leopardstown Road.

BY DART

There is a limited complimentary shuttle bus operating from Blackrock DART station to Leopardstown on selected race days. Priority will be given to patrons who have purchased a Race and Rail ticket on Leopardstown.com. although if there is room – the bus will accommodate your group. Please check our website in advance of travel for operating dates and times. Leopardstown Racecourse will be operating a complimentary return shuttle bus for this facility also.

FROM DUBLIN AIRPORT

Dublin Airport is about an hour's drive from Leopardstown racetrack. Aircoach operates a regular bus service between Dublin Airport and Burton Hall Road which is adjacent to the entrance to Leopardstown racecourse. There are also regular bus services into the city centre from the Airport.

By Car

Leopardstown is very accessible by car, easily accessed from the M50 motorway and offers complimentary car parking.
From the M50: take exit 15 and cross the flyover, following the signs for Leopardstown Racecourse. From Dublin city centre: Take the N11 (Stillorgan dual carriageway) heading towards the southeast, past Stillorgan. Turn right at traffic lights onto Leopardstown Road R113 signposted Leopardstown. Continue straight and Leopardstown's entrance is on the left just before the traffic lights in front of the roundabout.

Parking

Leopardstown boasts ample car parking and car park transport, all of which are complimentary. There are two entrances for cars to Leopardstown Racecourse on racedays.

The first entrance is off Leopardstown Road, near the junction linking Leopardstown Park Hospital, Leopardstown Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate and Brewery Road. The second entrance is off the M50 at junction 15 (Carrickmines). Shuttle buses transport patrons to and from the car parks free of charge for the entirety of the race day until the official close of the racecourse grounds.
