The Racedays
With seven days of racing there is plenty on offer for everyone!
Racing Breaks recommends Wednesday and Thursday where the feature races appear, The Tote Galway Plate and the Guinness Galway Hurdle.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday's racing starts from 5pm, with live music being held throughout the week.
About the Galway Races Summer Festival
Galway Racecourse plays host to one of the greatest race meetings in the world, the famous and iconic Galway Races Summer Festival, that boasts seven days of superb racing, hospitality, entertainment, stunning fashion and an electric atmosphere.
Our package includes tickets to Galway Plate Day and Galway Hurdle/Ladies Day. Plate Day is also Country Music Day. Tune in for one of the big races of the week, the historic Tote Galway Plate, worth €250,000. This race is awash with quality, with experienced chasers taking on emerging youngsters and has produced some high-class recent winners including, Balko Des Flos and Road To Riches.
Widely renowned as ‘Ladies Day’ at the Galway Festival, Thursday combines the very best in racing and fashion for the pinnacle of the summer racing calendar.
Hospitality at the Galway Races Summer Festival
Galway Races offer a variety of hospitality options over the Summer Festival weekend. These range from the Silver Package in the Plate & Hurdle Suites, right up to the Panoramic Restaurant Package located on the top floor with stunning views over the racecourse.
