Ladies Day

10 February 2019

Overview

We all need something to look forward to during the middle of winter! That’s why the hugely popular February Sunday fixture has a new twist in 2019. It’s Ladies Day on Haldon Hill, when beautiful coats, stunning hats and stylish boots will be the order of the day.

Think bright, colourful, warm and gorgeous, as you wrap up for the chance to win amazing prizes. A traditional tweed coat with a splash of bright pink, or perhaps muted winter shades with bright red shoes, whatever you choose, Ladies Day is the perfect opportunity to pop on something stylish.

There’s great racing in prospect with £100,000 in prize money up for grabs. You’re sure to see hugely talented horses in action - the Harry Kane’s of the horse racing world - like Finians Oscar who lit up the racecourse in 2017 with a foot-perfect performance in the Listed Novices’ Hurdle, or Perfect Candidate who took the Veteran’s Chase and added Cheltenham’s Grade Three Betvictor.Com Handicap Chase to his haul.

Other notable horses include the Harry Fry-trained Unowhatimeanharry who won the 2016 Pertemps qualifier and went on to taste victory in the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and 2015 Randox Grand National victor, Many Clouds who won the 2m3f Novices’ hurdle in 2013. The highly regarded Vision Des Flos, trained by Colin Tizzard, won the 2018 listed hurdle and was subsequently narrowly beaten in two Grade One races.
