The opening day of the Cheltenham Festival is one of the most popular of the week. With three Grade 1’s including the feature race of the day, the Champion Hurdle, won in 2019 by the Mark Walsh trained Espoir D’Allen. Be there to experience the famous Cheltenham roar as the Supreme Novice Hurdle gets the week off and running.

Guinness Grandstand Seats Upgrade
Enhance your Cheltenham Festival experience and add a designated seat in the Guinness Grandstand overlooking the final fence on the home straight.
Located directly behind the Racing Breaks VIP Bar the seats offer an excellent view of the racing throughout the day.

Preview & Tips
In 2019 we were joined by Alan Brazil, Lee Westwood, Mick Fitzgerald, Paul Kealy and Sam Thomas as well as a number of other names from the racing world who shared stories and gave some tips on the day ahead.
Each morning from approximately 11:00-11:30 the panel will run through the racecard giving tips and insight into some of the runners and riders for the day ahead.
There will also be a short Q&A allowing guests the opportunity to ask questions to any of the members of the celebrity panel!

The Racing Breaks VIP Bar is located within the Guinness Grandstand, on the upper level, behind the Guinness Grandstand Seats and overlooking the Guinness Village.
The bar has its own Tote betting facility and neighbouring toilets with food outlets located close by within the Guinness VIllage.
